History of ICLA

Non-Profit Organization for Indonesian Competition Law Practitioners

ICLA was initiated by 8 (eight) advocates who are active in the field of business competition in Indonesia. Since the development of the amendment of Law Number 5 of1999 on the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition, the founders of ICLA, who are practitioners of business competition law, felt the need for the government and legislators to listen to the aspirations of legal and economic practitioners regarding various problems faced in the implementation of Law Number 5 of 1999 on the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition, both in terms of substantive and procedural law.
Departing from there, ICLA was launched on 17 March 2017.
